Art Rapp joined Kujawski Marcus, LLC in 2008 as a field representative.  He is a third generation railroad engineer with a strong railroad heritage from many family members.  He started working for the Illinois Central Railroad in 1974 as a fireman and was promoted to engineer in 1976.  While he hired out in Palestine, Illinois he worked the majority of his railroad career in Champaign, Illinois, in freight, yard and even passenger service.

Art served as UTU-E Local Chairman from 1982 to 1992.  In 1992 he joined the BLE&T Division 602 and was elected as their Local Chairman and Legislative representative in 1993.  He was also elected as their delegate attending national conventions from 1996 through 2006 and served on the BLE&T, CN-ICRR GCA executive board as the 2nd Vice General Chairman. Art remained as local chairman until 2008 until he retired due to injuries he sustained in an automobile accident, which ended his career.

Wherever called upon, Art tries to serve to the best of his ability offering a reference to a wealth of knowledge, information and experience. This is especially helpful when assisting injured and railroad brethren.  Art uses his intimate knowledge of the railroad industry, operating practices, train handling, and safety rules, to assist clients in the handling of their FELA cases.

He enjoys spending time with his wife Chona and babysitting their grandchildren.  Art serves his community as a member of the city planning commission, an officer in his homeowner’s association and an officer of the Corvette Club of Illinois.  In his spare time, he likes to hunt, shoot skeet and sporting clays, and is a member of the St. Joseph’s Sportsmen’s Club.  Art also shoots competitively in Practical Pistol Course shooting.  Art is an avid fan of automobiles and sports cars, particularly Chevrolet Corvettes.  Art currently possesses both a pilot’s license (single engine VFR rating) and a Commercial Driver’s License.
